Players from around the north east United States played croquet for 3 days to determine the winners in two flights of play: Championship Singles, First Flight Singles, and Doubles.

The Nine wicket 2019 Nationals, Hartsfield, VA were held September 15-17 next to the gun club. The court surface is ordinary long grass, but the championship wickets, balls and mallets used by the players made this a challenging and fun competition.

Notice that the ball just barely fits through the rectangular iron wicket.
The red clip on the top of the wicket marks the one he needs to score next, this keeps all players aware of whom is playing for each wicket.
